Poets Catherine Wing and Sarah Wells will read at Mac's on Wednesday, September 12th at 7 p.m., followed by an open mic. Gin and Bleach, just published, is Catherine Wing's second collection published by Sarabande Books. The first, Enter Invisible was nominated for a Los Angeles Times Book Prize. Her poems have appeared in Poetry, The Nation, The New Republic and have been featured on "The Writers Almanac". Catherine's poems have been included in Best American Poetry 2010 and Best American Erotic Poems. She grew up in Louisville and teaches at Kent State University. Sarah Wells is the author of Pruning Burning Bushes (Wipf & Stock 2012) and the chapbook Acquiesce (Finishing Line Press ). Her work has appeared in Alimentum, JAMA, Literary Mama, Puerto del Sol and other publications. She is the Managing Editor for the Ashland Poetry Press and Riverteeth: A Journal of Nonfiction Narrative.
