THRITY UMRIGAR AT THE WINE SPOT

Sunday, September 7, 2014 - 4:00pm to 7:00pm

Thrity Umrigar, author of The Story Hour (Harper, August 2014) will be the featured guest at a benefit for the CH-UH Public Library on Sunday, September 7th from 4-7 p.m. at the Wine Spot, 2271 Lee Rd. in Cleveland Heights.

In The Story Hour, Thrity has delivered another brilliant look at love and friendship. What happens when an experienced psychologist abandons protocol to befriend a lonely patient?

"Thrity Umrigar has an uncanny ability to look deeply into the human heart and find the absolute truth of our lives. The Story Hour is stunning and beautiful. Lakshmi and Maggie will stay with readers for a very long time."--Luis Alberto Urrea, author of The Hummingbird's Daughter

"With grace, wisdom and incredible compassion, Thrity Umrigar has woven together the lives of two seemingly dissimilar women who must learn--against steep odds--to forgive each other and themselves."--Paula McClain, author of The Paris Wife

The event at the Wine Spot will feature delicious Indian food from Café Tandoor, wine, beer and a booksigning. The benefit supports The Fund for the Future of Heights Libraries, established in 2013 by the Heights Libraries Board of Trustees.
