Music writer Annie Zaleski, author of Lady Gaga: Applause and Duran Duran's Rio will be in conversation with journalist Annie Nickoloff on Thursday, May 11th at 7 pm at the Coventry branch of the CH-UH Public Library, 1925 Coventry Rd. in Cleveland Heights.
Annie Zaleski is an award-winning author, journalist and editor with profiles, interviews, and criticism in a variety of publications. Bylines include Rolling Stone, NPR Music, The Guardian, Salon, Time, Billboard, The A.V. Club, Vulture, Classic Pop, Record Collector, The Los Angeles Times, Stereogum, Cleveland Plain Dealer, and Las Vegas Weekly. She's also been a radio commentator on various music and pop culture topics, appearing on NPR (All Things Considered and regional stations), the CBC, Sirius XM Canada and MPR. Annie is an editor for the 33 1/3 Genre Series of song biographies (published by Bloomsbury), working with writers to shape their books. She is also the author of Why the B-52's Matter, forthcoming from University of Texas Press.
Annie Nickoloff is a senior editor at Cleveland Magazine and has written for a variety of local and national publications, including The Plain Dealer / cleveland.com, Alternative Press Magazine, USA TODAY, Belt Magazine and Cleveland Scene Magazine. She is also the host of 'Sunny Day,' a freeform indie rock radio show on WRUW FM 91.1 Cleveland.
