Mac's will host an event for The Woman Worker edition of Breaking the Chains Magazine on Friday, February 10 at 7:30 p.m.
Breaking the Chains Magazine is a one-of-its-kind feminist, socialist magazine, deeply connected to the everyday experiences of working women from generations past to today. The creators, who edit, write, design, draw and produce the magazine, are women workers and activists in our communities. They believe that capitalism is the basis for the oppression of women and socialism is a necessary step to overturn that oppression."Join us on Friday, February 10th at 7:30 PM at @macs_backs for a panel discussion on the launch of the latest issue of Breaking the Chains, titled "The Woman Worker". What do these developments mean for women workers in the struggle for socialist liberation? How do we utilize our history, a vast history of women's leadership and initiative in the labor movement, to inform our work in the current context?
