FIVE POETS

Poets Molly Fuller, Sarah Marcus, Angie Mazakis, Robert Miltner and Andrew Rihn will read at Mac's on Saturday, May 4th at 7 p.m.

Molly Fuller received her MA from Ohio University and her MFA from Sarah Lawrence College. She is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at Marshall University. Her work has appeared in Hot Metal Bridge, Quickly, Crack the Spine and elsewhere. Her chapbook of blurs and micro-fictions, The Neighborhood Psycho Dreams of Love, is just out from Cutty Wren Press. She divides her time between West Virginia and Ohio.

Sarah Marcus holds an MFA in poetry from George Mason University. She is the author of Backcountry just out from Finishing Line Press. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in McSweeney’s, Cimarron Review, CALYX, Nashville Review, Slipstream, Tidal Basin Review and Cold Mountain Review. She is a guest blogger for So to Speak: A Feminist Journal of Language & Art.

Angie Mazakis has her MFA from George Mason University. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in The New Republic, Boston Review, Narrative Magazine, Best New Poets 2008, New Ohio Review, Smartish Pace, Drunken Boat, and Miracle Monocle. She has received prizes from New Letters, New Ohio Review, Smartish Pace, Academy of American Poets, and a Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Prize.

Robert Miltner teaches at Kent State University Stark and in the NEO MFA in Creative Writing program. His book, Hotel Utopia, was winner of the New Rivers Press Many Voices Project prize and was a finalist for the Ohioana Book Prize in Poetry. The author of twelve chapbooks, including Wick Award winner Against the Simple, his newest chapbook of prose poems is Imperative, just out from All Nations Press.

Andrew Rihn, a Stark State College writing center tutor, is the author of six previous chapbooks—including foreclosure Dogs from Pudding House, Rust Belt MRI from New Sins/Winged City Press, and America Plops and Fizzes from sunnyoutsidepress. His newest chapbook, Hunger Dictionary, is just out from Night Ballet Books.
