HEIGHTS MUSIC HOP/MAC'S BALCONY
The 7th annual Heights Music Hop is Sept. 12, 13 & 14, 2019. Join us for this FREE festival in the Coventry Village, Cedar Fairmount and Cedar Lee business districts of Cleveland Heights!
Mac's Backs will host Eric Everett Jazz from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and Rachel Shortt from 8:15-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12th in Mac's balcony space.
From American Songbook classics such as Duke Ellington, Bill Evans, Miles Davis, Antonio Carlos Jobim to modern jazz/pop and R&B artists such as Steely Dan, Aretha Franklin & Bill Withers, Eric Everett Jazz performs traditional jazz standards, latin, and R&B with a contemporary approach.
Rachel Shortt describes her style as “a little folk, a little funk and a little soul”. Her provocative lyrics approach poetry in their elegant simplicity and ability to stand alone. But with the overlay of Rachel’s instrumental artistry, her original work provides a bold new language for those who seek a sound with passion and purpose.
Metered spots on the streets, city parking lots and city parking garages in the Coventry, Cedar Fairmount & Cedar Lee Business Districts will be FREE during each district’s respective night of the festival! NOTE: There is no parking at bagged meters.
The Heights Music Hop is a program of FutureHeights, the community-based nonprofit organization that publishes the Heights Observer newspaper. FutureHeights has been a leader in civic engagement and community building in the Heights for more than 16 years.
