Robert Sberna, author of House of Horrors: The Shocking True Story of Anthony Sowell (KSU Press 2012) will discuss the book at Mac's on Wednesday, February 27th at 7 p.m.

House of Horrors exposes the perverse world of Anthony Sowell, a sexual sadist who terrorized women on Cleveland's East Side. Sowell murdered at least 11 women and then lived among their decaying corpses. At least five other women survived Sowell's vicious assaults. After a dramatic trial in the summer of 2011, Sowell, 52, was convicted of 11 murders and sentenced to death. He is currently awaiting execution at the Chillicothe Correctional Institution. Cleveland journalist Robert Sberna brings readers into the mind of the killer through interviews with Sowell's surviving victims and exclusive death row interviews with Sowell himself.

Robert Sberna began his journalism career as a police and courts reporter at several daily newspapers in the Midwest. His work has appeared in numerous national and regional publications including the Washington Examiner, The Plain Dealer, Crain's, Advertising Age and Ohio Magazine.
