Jenny Milchman, author of three suspense novels including As Night Falls (Ballantine 2015) will give a craft talk and discuss her books on Wednesday, September 16th at 7:00 p.m.

Why are mysteries, thrillers and suspense novels so popular with readers and so much fun to write? "Killing People for a Living" is an interactive discussion and workshop that will explore the appeal of some of today's bestselling authors while taking you from premise to plot in your work in progress. Participants will leave with a reading list and action plan for their own work.

Jenny Milchman's debut novel Cover of Snow (2013) won the Mary Higgins Clark award and Ruin Falls (2014) was named a Top Ten of 2014 by Suspense Magazine. She is the Vice-President of Programming for the International Thriller Writers Association and she teaches writing and publishing for the New York Writers Workshop.

Library Journal said about As Night Falls: " Extreme, heart-pounding action . . . essential for psychological thriller fanatics."  And Bookpage notes: " Great psychological thrillers work on two levels: as action-based mysteries and as emotionally resonant personal stories. Jenny Milchman balances both with equal intensity."
