Laura Atmadarshan Santoro and the Bhagavad Gita

Thursday, November 3, 2022 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm

Laura Atmadarshan Santoro, author of a 3 volume translation of the Bhagavad Gita, will be the guest of the Coventry Village Reading Series on Thursday, November 3rd at 7 p.m. The event is a collaboration between the CH-UH Public Library and Mac's Backs and takes place at the Coventry branch, 1925 Coventry Rd. in Cleveland Heights.

Laura Atmadarshan Santoro finally understood the timeless value of the Bhagavad Gita when she used its teachings to deal with her mother's agonizing terminal illness. After witnessing how the Gita also helped others navigate difficult jobs and challenging relationships, she devoted herself to creating accessible translations in its original poetic meter, bringing its power and beauty to life for modern Westerners. Her Song of Your Soul series meets each reader where they are and takes them to the next level of understanding, hope and life mastery.

Atmadarshan (Laura Santoro) has been teaching yoga in the Cleveland area and internationally since 2001. She instructs corporate and studio group classes, provides on-on-one consultations and has lead international yoga events, workshops, trainings, intensives and retreats. She specializes in yoga psychology, yoga eye exercises, gentle yoga , yoga nidra, Yoga & Death and the Mahabharata & Bhagavad Gita.
