RAYMOND LESSER & KEVIN RISNER AT MAC'S BACKS
Poets Raymond Lesser and Kevin A. Risner will read at Mac's Backs on Wednesday, November 13 at 7 p.m. followed by an open mic.
Ray's book Dandelion Dreams was released in conjuction with the first gallery showing of his paintings at Negative Space Gallery in October 2018.
Raymond is a writer, artist, musician, editor, and publisher. He and his partner Susan Wolpert are the brains behind the Funny Times. This is his first book of poems, though he has been writing poetry since he could talk.
Of his painting, he says, "I paint to obliterate the drone of mass media that seems to have seeped into every corner of our existence, and replace it with color, shape, pattern, and dreams."
Kevin A. Risner is the author of My Ear is a Sieve (Bottlecap Press, 2017) and Lucid (The Poetry Annals, 2018). He also contributed to the poetry anthology entitled The Anatomy of Desire: An Anthology of Distance also published by The Poetry Annals in 2018 .He teaches writing, narrative, and philosophy at the Cleveland Institute of Art and his work has been (or will be) published in multiple places online: Riggwelter, Dream Noir, Indicia, 8 Poems, Last Exit, Rise Up Review, L'Ephemere Review, and elsewhere.
